Company History

Miraculous Meals was founded in February 2004 by Don & Tammy Rose. After a few months of testing in late 2003, Tammy discovered that there was a real need to supply quality pre-packaged meals to McPherson area residents. After a year of Tammy Rosesuccessfully running this business (originally entitled "Marvelous Meals"), while at the same time running an established day care (The Rose Garden), Don & Tammy decided to go full-time in August 2005. The name was changed to Miraculous Meals and the new facility at 1321 North Highway 81 Bypass, McPherson, KS was completed in January 2006.

From 1994-1998, Tammy obtained much of her commercial food service experience at Central Christian College. She has always loved cooking and enjoys experimenting with new recipes. She has been testing and developing freezer cooking dishes since 1991. In 1999, Tammy established and ran The Rose Garden, which was a local day care in McPherson for six years. She built the day care into a thriving business by adding new clients on a regular basis.

Tammy graduated from Central Christian College in May 1985 with an Associate in General Studies degree. She went on to complete her education at Greenville College, Greenville, IL, graduating with a Bachelor's in Music Education in May 1988.

Don RoseTammy's husband, Don, is the co-founder of Miraculous Meals. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Technical Education from Panhandle State University, Goodwell, OK in December 1989. During  the summer of 1990, the Roses moved back to McPherson where Tammy & Don both accepted positions at Central Christian College. Don taught industrial education courses until 1995. In the summer of 1995, Don completed his Master's degree in Education/Technology at Fort Hays State University. He then changed positions and became the Director of Facilities Management overseeing the grounds, buildings, and fleet maintenance. Don held that position until December 2003. In January 2004, he left the employment of Central Christian College and took a position with Hutchinson Community College as Construction Trades Trainer/Coordinator for the Kansas Association of General Contractors in Wichita, KS.
